Hackney Empire - Exclusively with Unitbase.co.uk

With performers such as Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel, this iconic London theatre is steeped in history. Now Unitbase.co.uk is excited to announce its exclusive representation of all filming and photography at the Hackney Empire. This stunning theatre built in 1901 undertook a huge refurbishment in 2004, which has resulted in the location having a selection of great filming and photographic locations!

Unitbase.co.uk is one of London’s top location agencies and is very proud to be representing a location that is such an iconic and famous London entertainment venue. With clients such as Warner Brothers, BBC and Tiger Aspect, Unitbase.co.uk are keen to get started representing the property and commenced a marketing campaign on the 19th April 2010 to raise the profile of the venue as a possible filming location.

The theatre is of course home to a fantastic and traditional auditorium space, but as with any refurbished theatre, there are other great spaces that can be utilised by any filming or photographic production company. These includes rehearsal rooms, green rooms and bar areas. All can be locked off and are usable for filming and photography, and as due to the nature of the Hackney Empire’s business then these spaces are normally available throughout the day.
If you or your company are interested in utilising the Hackney Empire for filming or photography, then please contact James or Alex at Unitbase.co.uk on 020 7239 8906

Unitbase.co.uk and Land Securities increase their filming location portfolio.

After a fantastic four years of managing all filming enquiries at Thomas More Square, a prime Land Securities site, in Wapping, Unitbase.co.uk have been given the privilege of looking after more of Land Securities properties as possible film locations.

In addition to tower blocks and office buildings in the City of London, Unitbase.co.uk now looks after a mixed complex of retail, office and exterior spaces in SW1. These are the sort of properties that are always immensely popular with film and television production companies. Offices with great views and locations with modern London architecture is increasingly being used in feature films and drama's alike.

To put this into context, Thomas More Square played host in the last 18 months to '28 Weeks Later' and ITV's 'Identity', both of which took up space in vacant areas of the complex and used the buildings in incredibly imaginative ways! Land Securities were happy as well making good secondary revenue through spaces that would simply be costing them money as they stand still.

Land Securities have been forthcoming in the use of their buildings and are constantly excited about new filming opportunities. A lead that Unitbase.co.uk encourages other companies to take as there is a clear and available revenue stream that lies untapped to many large investment and development firms.
